Quotes

Wrapping up a course in Early Childhood Development, this seemed like an appropriate quote to end on. My son, who is 4, told me:

"I wish that I could know the whole world, but I couldn't. I don't know it. I don't know the names of it."

He is so full of wonder, and his mind is moving so quickly acquiring and assimilating information.
I like this one too:

"Education is not filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire."

William Butler Yeats

  1. Sarah,

Unfortunately, I have had less time to stay up to date on your blog to comment throughout this course, but I always make it a point to come back and read your post during the following week. I always look forward to your passionate take on the development of children, and even more important, the social and emotional development that is far too often overlooked! Thanks again!

  2. I too have enjoyed your posts through out this course. As this comes to an end, I look forward to still following your blog and seeing more inspirational words. Your son's words are wonderful and I like your quote as well. Thank you for all the kind thoughts through out this program.
